Is Cleric right for you?

Why players pick it

  • The only dedicated healer. No other class can fill the role. Five- and ten-player content is not really doable without one, which makes you permanently in demand.
  • A complete healing kit. Direct heals, heal-over-time, cleanse, shields and resurrection — every tool a group can ask for.
  • You make the party stronger. Cleric's debuff raises party damage on marked targets, so you contribute beyond the health bar.
  • Fast group placement at the cap. Geared Clerics are the easiest class to place into dungeons and raids, and the role's opinions carry weight in the group.

Know before you commit

  • Slow, unforgiving solo leveling. Your damage kit is an afterthought. The 1–45 grind is the slowest comfortable experience on the roster — bring friends or patience.
  • You own the group's failures. Like tanking, healing is a responsibility role. Wipes get diagnosed on the healer first, fairly or not.
  • Little solo endgame. Open-world farming and solo content are the weakest part of the kit.
Best fit: Group PvE — a good Cleric never waits for a party
No take-backs: Global has no class change, and Stigma, Skill Points and enhancement materials are all invested in one character. Deleting a character now carries a 24-hour wait — rerolling is possible, but planning first is cheaper.

Leveling 1–45 as Cleric

Follow the yellow Episode quests — they carry ~80% of early XP. Activate every Kibelisk you pass for fast travel, equip quest gear immediately, and don't enhance gear you'll replace within five levels.

Stigma plan for Cleric: Healing throughput first: your main direct heal, the heal-over-time, then cleanse and shields. Condemnation is the signature damage tool — its Specialty (unlocks at level 12) resets its cooldown on a crit, so crit chance quietly boosts your offense too. Stigma slots open at 22, 27, 32, 37.

The level 37–45 stretch finishes the Episode and Ascension chains; Ascension unlocks zones, dungeons, Stigmas and the Daevanion system, so don't skip it. The Season 1 Global cap is 45 (Korea/Taiwan are at 50 — ignore KR build guides for now).

Cleric at the level 45 cap

You are in demand for every dungeon and raid. Gear follows the ladder (Regional Quests → Sealed Dungeons → Strongholds → Empyrean Traces → Conquest Expeditions), and 2,800 Item Level unlocks Abyssal Forge: Ludra. Learn the fights deeply — groups forgive a DPS, rarely the healer.

Cleric FAQ

Is Cleric the best healer in AION 2?

It is the only pure healer. The Chanter heals as a secondary function; for serious group content the Cleric is the benchmark.

Is Cleric good for beginners?

If you plan to play with people: yes — simple rotation, instant groups. Solo, it is the slowest start on the roster, so pick it with friends in mind.

Cleric or Chanter?

Cleric if you want to heal properly and always have a group. Chanter if you want to support while still dealing real damage in melee.

What weapon does Cleric use?

A mace, paired with the game's full suite of healing and support skills.
