One PvE Stigma core, one set of stat priorities, the PvP swaps that actually matter — all cross-checked against what top Global Assassins run.
| Stigma | What it does & why it's here |
|---|---|
| Illusive Clone | 90s, resets Heart Gore's cooldown and adds 20% extra damage for 10s. The burst window starter. |
| Swift Contract | Raises Combat Speed so more Heart Gore hits fit inside the window. |
| Savage Fang | Instantly engraves all 5 Insignias on up to 4 targets, enabling an instant Insignia Explosion. |
| Triniel's Dagger | The highest damage coefficient on the Assassin's Stigma list, +30% from behind. |
Guides disagree on Quick Slice vs Heart Gore first — the honest answer is both work; pick one and commit. Quick Slice restores MP during combat; Heart Gore is the damage engine (Specialty 16 adds crit resets). Savage Roar generates Insignias, Insignia Explosion consumes them.
Rotation: Wait for a vulnerable phase → trigger Illusive Clone + Swift Contract → dump Heart Gore into the window from behind the target → detonate with Insignia Explosion. Positioning is damage: the +30% back-attack bonus from Triniel's Dagger is the difference between a good and a great window.
Accuracy > Critical Hit > Attack. Crit is not a bonus here — critical hits power the Heart Gore engine itself. On gear, hunt Back Attack Damage Boost above everything else.
Swap Shadow Walk in for Savage Fang to choose your own opener from stealth. The whole duel plan: pick an isolated target, land the window, leave before cooldowns return.
Savage Fang, Triniel's Dagger, Illusive Clone and Swift Contract — about 37% of sampled level 45 Assassins run exactly this set, the strongest consensus on the roster.
Accuracy, then Critical Hit, then Attack — crits power the Heart Gore engine itself. Back Attack Damage Boost is the best gear substat; Triniel's Dagger adds another 30% from behind.
Almost always a mistimed window. The Illusive Clone + Swift Contract window is the class; outside it, your hits are ordinary. Practice the timing before upgrading gear.
